Following on from my last blog and now that issue 167 has hit the shelves I can share with you the outtakes and behind the scenes photographs from the issue. It was a fairly quiet issue for me as I was busy helping the art team with a backlog of repro. Next month sees me out of the office for 3 weeks, so I’m hoping to have some great stuff for issue 168 behind the scenes and outtakes.

This was a cover option that was never used. Taken at night, on location.

The weather in Northern Ireland for our SLS v XKR-S shoot was truly awful. It made completing the shoot in one day very tricky, but we got there in the end.

A quick static shot of the two together whilst lunch decisions were made.

In 1955 there was an epic battle between Mercedes and Jaguar, pick up a copy of the issue for Henry’s rendition.

The SLS getting squiffy taking one of the kerbs at Dundrod.

Henry filling the SLS, for the fourth time.

Tunnel run, anyone?

The sun pops out in Northern Ireland as the XKR-S takes it top off.

An absolutely mint MGB with modern running gear, a great sight on the roads.

Stephen making use of nature's restroom on the B664.

The sky was on fire near my home in Rutland Water one morning, I couldn’t resist a quick snap.

Exquisite massage seats on the Bentley were a brilliant companion on the motorways.

The Subs cover. If you don’t subscribe you miss out on some great covers.

Top image reminds of 'To the Batmobile, let's go!' :-)

Top image is beautiful. Makes the SLS look bloody dangerous. Love that red on black.

Personally perfer the top picture to the one used on the subs edition. Any chance a Hi Res version can be made available to download (perhaps on the Facebook page)?

Great shots again Dean, thanks. Would've been a crime for these to get lost on the cutting room floor. Bet Stephen loves you even more after his second appearance...
