Hi all, I thought it was probably about time I introduced myself here on the evo community. I’m the staff photographer here at evo magazine (read: jammy git), you can normally find me hanging out of various cars, laying in dirty ditches or on top of cliff edges trying to bring you the best photography I can.
The photographs you see in the magazine each month are a result of countless hours taking hundreds of photos knees deep in a cold, muddy field and then more time by our art team carefully choosing which ones to use in the lightly air conditioned office here at evo towers. This of course means that many a good photograph never gets to see the light of day - locked away on one of the many clunky old servers.
I think this is criminal and so from here on in, I intend to share my photos that didn’t make the cut or fit a certain sized box in the magazine. As well as this I aim to post various behind the scenes photos whenever possible.
Below you’ll find a selection of images from my time so far with evo magazine, I hope you enjoy them:

Nissan GT-R from issue 166 - Only our international readers would have seen this on the cover.

And here it is in the morning just before the studio session. I'd picked it up the previous day, which just happened to be my 30th Birthday... If it wasn't for spending the night by myself in a hotel in Norwich it would have been the perfect birthday. What a car.

I spent a good 12hrs up that ladder. Still, it beats being in an office right?

On route to eCoty. First stop: Gatwick & a wonky trolley. There are plenty of behind the scenes and outtake photos from eCoty, I'll make that a seperate post!

Editor-at-large John Barker takes a moment to humour me after being soaked continuously by the wet brake-test in issue 166.

"Give us a go"

Swoon. The Earl of Pembroke's glorious R34 Skyline GTR. He has other far more expensive cars too and also holds a car show each year, a true petrolhead if ever there was one.

Staff writer Stephen Dobie in 'shock: not pulling a face' photo.

One of those days to remember: Being handed the keys to the only F10 M5 in the country and the only rule being to bring it back before 8am tomorrow. Many a petrol pump was seen that day.

Contributing editor Dickie Meaden and Head of Lotus motorsport Claudio Berro get their jazz hands out.

M5 group test in issue 165: The light was falling fast, but I couldn't stop snapping.

The infamous Esprit active suspension mule. Sat in the stairwell at Lotus HQ.

Although I was very privileged to be shooting the GT-86 before anyone else, I couldn't keep my eyes off these beauties!

Blacking out windows for the GT-86 shoot. After all of the faffing we had 3hrs to shoot the car.

An Evora GT3 car pre engine.

Gulf liveried Evora GTE. I'll take two please.

All that skidding has worn out our man Mike Duff, it's a tough job but somebody has to do it!

Roger Green sprays a Bentley.

Mike Duff being a hero for the Nikon.
Until next time....
