So does "attempts" and the fact the snow one is touted as the first successful performance mean that that one failed? That must have hurt! I wonder how many they destroyed on their attempts. Amazed the driver's back and neck have survived... Very cool stunt though. I imagine it's only possible with a transverse engine revving its nuts off. I remember Ari Vatanen's nasty 205 T16 crash being due its transverse engine causing it to nosedive in mid-air.

rhys millen almost landed a stadium truck backflip on NYE 2008. there have been a few landed monstertruck backflips, but usually imvolve driving up to something vertical and flooring it rather than a run up and takeoff

Yeah and there's a difference between "landed" and being able to drive away undamaged.
