Just wondered what some of you have and on what specs these days? After fitting the SSD and switching AHCI mode the rig is going quite nicely. The bottleneck has now moved to the ageing Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz. Gfx is a 6950 2GB. However I'm thinking of a Dell U2913WM as my next purchase as I have an old Samsung 23" at the moment. Processor: 7.3
Memory: 7.3
Graphics: 7.9
Gaming Gfx: 7.9
HDD: 7.7 Cheers,
Jon

Cheers all, not too bad as it turns out for my (also 4 year old) system. May see if I can get another year out of it before I upgrade the mobo/cpu/ram bundle. Jon

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on.

Vista tells me 5.8/5.9/5.9/5.9/5.9 Core 2 duo E6750 (2.66ghz iirc?), 8800GT 512MB, 4GB ddr2, intel 520 SSD, 6TB of data drives. Built it in Jan 2008, and other than the SSD and hard drives it's not been touched since. Runs 24/7, reboot it once every 30-40 days, and still on the original Vista install. Just runs too damn well for me to want to bother upgrading. I don't play any games these days... it's ample for work.
