You started a S6 V10 thread did you not ? 15k just down the road from you ? I don't do twatter you know that. Nice motors but running costs put me off, be interesting to see how you get on with it.

Tim said... It's like a backwards 911. I think pretty much ALL of the engine is in the wrong place. I don't care, it's not for track days.
Handling's not just for trackdays though is it. Bet it drives lovely though without going to extremes

I like that, looks like a proper outside lane clearer I've got a thing for big cars at the moment and keep finding myself looking at CLS500s.

I've had my A8 11.5 months, and it's done just under 4,000 miles in that time. Fuel is pretty grim in this, but so what? If I was doing 20k a year I wouldn't have bought it. Servicing isn't bad actually. Every 19k ~£500 and The Big One (£1k) is 30k miles away. No timing belt to change, and appropriate tyres can be had for £130 a corner. Insurance £60 a year more than my A8 (approx £550 a year). Suspect this may have been a demo car originally as it's got literally everything on it, seriously huge spec.

Be interested to hear how you get on with that one. A very rare motor I think. Edit to ask - did you pay £15k for that? in a good way...

It looks enormous, in a good way. What's the exhaust note like when you give it full beans?
