Hello nerdos :)

So youngest miklet wants to load this onto his new Chrimbo laptop to do some online gaming with his buds (minecraft etc).

Brief search seems to indicate it is safe (as in not a virus) but suggests it allows others to access your network. Which didnt sound good..... :?

What says the forum?

Thanks in advance. 8)

It's safe if you know what you're doing.

Never heard of it before, but it looks like an easy way to have a VPN between gamers on the net.

Thus it's pretty much the same as your son's friends coming over to your house and plugging into your LAN, with all the risks that entails.

You could do something like use a double NAT set up (have another Router plugged into your main router, with your PC's on that routers LAN, son's laptop on the main LAN)

download and install steam on all their PCs and buy a 4pack of terraria for the lot of 'em.

He's already all steamed up

terraria four pack. it's ridiculously cheap, and totally awesome. and a similar idea to minecraft, but 2d.

one of the best games of last year.
