outstanding bad taste!

No, no, no. Wrong (for me) on several levels: I don't like the black roof on any of the 458s that I've seen. The car simply looks better with body colored roof. Second, I don't like the black wheels and boot lid. If I wanted my Ferrari to look like a teenagers Honda then......well, I just don't. Lastly, the chrome paint thing sucks. I'm sure there are Russian gansters and South American drug dealers for whom this car would be perfect. I'll take my 458 in Tour de France blue with Crema leather interior. Old school? You betcha, and proud of it. Modern car "design" and aftermarket "tuning" is the equivalent of Modern Art compared to Renaissance masters. It's crap.

It wasn't what I was expecting, and I quite like it (possibly because of that). I think it needs chrome black to go with the chrome red though. I prefer it to normal red with shields on the wings for sure.

I'm wondering what the most un-Ferrari colour would be now.

Not keen on the black bonnet, as someone mentioned, it looks like a chavved up Honda/GTR mod.

The actual red chrome finish might look lovely but the photos are so photoshopped up I can't tell.

I think this black roof / bonnet fashion comes from some car having used bare carbon for these parts (e.g. BMW M3 CSL for the roof, Porsche GT2 RS for the bonnet) - but as paint it does not make any sense IMHO.

I think Ford painted bonnets of racing Capris (maybe Escorts) matt black back in the '60s to avoid reflections. Mind you, there may have been matt black horses way before that.

actually not.., but i didn't manage to find the picture with it in bright sunlight(it looks even worse than in the picture above)
