One of my mates at school had an Orion 1.6, which at the time was considered a big engine for a first car. I was in it when he suffered terminal understeer on a wet roundabout an bust the front axle on the kerb. I also waited with him for his mechanic dad to turn up, needles to say, he was not pleased.

Anyone else remember Orion Pictures, when the stars spun around to form the O?
I used to love that bit, when a film was starting

We had a 1.6i Ghia, with the mighty CVH engine, that we used and abused on farmland. Quick enough when you're 14 Seeing a lot of MkIII/IV Escorts and Orions popping up around here being used a daily drivers, oddly - very few of them modified. Resurgence?

A Mk5? Better of burned, frankly. The only good thing to come out of the MkV/VI Escort was the Focus, that Ford had to produce to get rid of the taste of shit the Mk5 left behind.
