Because they would need to be galactic in size and intercooled to death to feed a 5l V8 at 9k without being hot air guns, wouldn't they?
Nah, something like a pair TD05-16G would flow enough air for the quoted power. Boost would tail off towards the top of the rev range anyway. A more modern twin-scroll, variable vane jobbie of equivalent size would be very driveable.
The LFA V10 revs to 9k, not the V8 (which is what that sounded like) .

Exactly - I was belming at whoever wrote that article as the leaked spec sheet clearly mentions 9k rpm.
