As always full of mistakes. Only 20 LP640s made? Also £220k?

Wrong wheels and colour for an LP640. Also mentions a market value of £95k - you won't get an LP640 for anywhere near that !

'Doing an MOT test' - well, that's probably why the car was booked in, but I can't imagine that it would need to leave the workshop... ETA: video here: Clicky. Looks like he comes into shot sideways and partly on the grass. The road is here so I guess he was heading for the A591 to give it some beans, rather than just brake testing it.

At the company one of my colleagues used to work for, they had a Mclaren mp12-4c in their factory earlier this year (something to do with testing the sound system) and one of the managers was moving the car and had a "watch this" moment which involved pranging it into a wall quite hard. Quite a few £Ks worth of damage apparently

Andrew Mitchinson said he was only doing 25-30mph when he lost control and crashed into a parked Ford Focus. He also blamed the wet road and leaves... Moral of the story drive fast........most supercars seem to have accidents when they are only doing 25-30mph As for Mr Leahy being worried about the accident lowering the "potential sell-on value" of his vehicle, maybe he should have thought about that before allowing the story to be splashed across a national newspaper

When I worked at Mayflower one of the gaffers lost control of a (borrowed) Aston Martin V12 20 yards outside the main gate, he hit a tree and blamed the traction control that didn't work

The owner of the Ford Focus, although not as expensive a car" was equally gutted

Personally I think I would be looking at a specialist garage to MOT a Lamborghini

why? an mot is an mot, you don't need to be lamborghini trained to do a fairly straightforward tick box safety check i would expect virtually every mot station in the uk has a brake decelerometer device as as stated in the article you're not supposed to brake test 4x4 vehicles on a standard two wheel mot brake test roller. however, it was clearly just a bullshit excuse to take a flash car for a spin, you only need to be doing 20mph for the test

How far do you have to drive to brake test a car from 20mph? My local Kwik Fit do it within a few yards of the service road outside.

i expect all lamborghini mechanics own their own aventadors so have never made up an excuse to take a customers car for a spin, whilst charging them £200 an hour for the pleasure

Along those lines I don't know many airline pilots who own 747s

25-30 as he was sliding sideways into the Focus .
Probably slightly higher at the point where he gave it the beans and lost control, but still relatively slow. Those pesky Russians would have made a much more spectacular job of it, I didn't see a single falling electricity pole.
