HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU BEEN HIT?
Previous | 1 | Next

per car that you know of. Since owning the Scirocco for less than a year, three people have reversed into it :(.

The latest being my neighbour who misjudged his parking last night in the dark and heavy rain. Luckily, he only cracked the number plate and the lower plastic grill so not too costly. Still annoying though!

3 - 2 - 1 - Go.................

Once at "fast motorway speeds" in the Leon.

My wife reversed into the CooperS when I was parked behind her in it on the driveway. She thought I'd left for work, but I was changing a CD...

In the Laguna a woman in an Accord reversed into us in a supermarket carpark, drove off, and when I ran around and cut her off tried to blame us. We were parked in a space.

I ran the Laguna into the Ka on my own driveway.

The Civic got hit by a fence, and a lamp post <ahem>. And was a magnet for door dings.

Leon was a magnet for door dings.

Had to have a door ding rubbed out of the MR2.

Carpark knocks in every car i've ever owned, I think. The spaces are too narrow.

WIBBLE

I somehow managed to reverse my Golf into a KA a while back...must have been about 1mph.

The woman in the KA (no, and probably not) got out and was really angry and was having a right go at me, she must have been a school teacher or something  I just nonchalantly reacted by saying "oh, let's have a look and see if there's any damage"

There wasn't any to either of our cars, not even a scratch.

I pointed this out to her, in a calm way which might have suggested she over-reacted, asked her if she was happy that there was no damage, got in my car and drove away

Haven't had anyone hit the 968, it spends far too long in the garage.

The front of the Golf has been scraped against a couple of times too.

Yes, yes, yes, I'm doing that all the time. You don't have to remind me every 10 seconds.

Don't get me started with door dents

I don't mind small bumps like replacing plastic trims etc but the previous accident which required full body repair and respray are usually hit or miss unless you have a garage you can trust. Or Flewy of course :D

Plain grey unpainted bumpers ?

someone hit the back bumber on my Mito in the first week. I managed to t-cut most of the damage out and then polished it and all but you can still see 2 cracks in the paintwork which keep growing longer.

Must have been one of the posh Ka's as it had body coloured bumpers  (silver)

Yes, yes, yes, I'm doing that all the time. You don't have to remind me every 10 seconds.

Rear ended in my stepmum's Citroen AX - no apparent damage done.

Rear ended by a Mitsubishi L200 in a mate's Celica - rear bumper destroyed

Wife reversed into my Impreza taking my mum to the airport.

Woman pulled out on me on a dual carriageway from the central refuge - clashed wings and door mirrors

Wife's Forester hit from behing by an artic at a set of traffic lights - Forester plastic bumper cover was slightly distorted, the Mercedes Actros had a destroyed front end!

Bus hit wife's Clio while it was parked. Bus driver apparently got out, looked at the damage and then drove off. A witness just made a note of which bus it was a left under her wiper. The police tracked the driver down and gently suggested he might wish to report the accident.

La-di-da!

On road; been hit loads of times in car parks, junctions etc. really gets to me as they all kick off at you despite being parked/stopped/not even in the vehicle.

Off the road I've stuffed the Escort into a fence (and nearly) into a horse according to the local farmer. The horse that was three acres away up the hill

Twatted the odd curb sideways  more than four times

Local scrappy actually knows the wheel size I require without me asking :D

Freudian slip?

Was hit a few weeks ago in town, which is getting sorted as soon as I get time to get to a bodyshop - work is punishing ATM, all over the place lately, just not anywhere with a bodyshop when I'm in my car...

Other than that, nowt.

IN my old Accord Aerodeck I followed a Trooper into a multistory got to the top and the driver (a young mum) spotted a space and reversed straight into me to get to it. This despite me flashing the lights and tooting.

THere was a tiny crack which would have cost over £400 at early 90s prices as it humped the under bumper etc.

Near miss at Tesco petrol in Berwick a while back. I was pared at the back pump and the other driver (a woman) reversed back, when I realised she hadnt seen the large red Saab behind her I leant on the horn and scared the bejesus out of her. She stopped about 3 inches off my bumper.

Too many wee dings and dents to mentin, the Saab seems to attract them like no other car I have owned. :(

I forgot the woman in the SLK who "creeped" into the back of me while reading a letter at some traffic lights.
She refused to make eye contact as I remonstrated wildly at her window, backed up, then drove around me.

Luckily no damage. But I was cross.

Had a woman reverse into me despite the horn and flashing lights (bumper on dad's car needing to be replaced).

Wife's father wasn't paying attention and dented the door and rear of the Micra.

Had a loading bay jump out at me and dent another of my dad's cars.

Parked Corolla conspired to hit the rear bumper of the Merc (dad's car... do I detect a theme here?) - was driving on solid ice.

Now fueled by heavy oil...

My first car a volvo 340 was hit by a truck while parked outside my house, basically ripped the side out of it. My 'helpful' neighbour saw this and drove away without taking any details. She did come along later after the police had spoken to a tipper driver at the local infill site who said it was probably him and point out that it wasn't a tipper truck

Civic was reversed into by my mums neighbour the day after I got it.

328 had a door thrown into it in a car park.

Sitting at a junction last week in my Dad's discovery, just about to pull out when the woman in the car behind decides that she will pull out before I do  Scuffed tow bar for me, smashed headlight for her.

Once ever. This week. By person unknown

Edit: actually that's a lie, a drink student crashed into my volvo 340 outside my hall of residence at uni.
