I don't know who they're getting to do there add stuff but they're have 3 or 4 winners in a row. Still - £6m all in for the campaign (1:30 at primetime can't be cheap) so it'd better work!

Welcome to the world of retail. Tesco etc have been doing it for weeks. At least JL don't rub the thing in your face when you go in to shop.

It's a stupid advert: Where did he get the money? Snowmen can't work.
How did he get served in the shop? Snowmen can't talk.
How did he wrap the presents? Stick hands lack the required movement to manage scissors and sellotape.
How do the gloves stay on her hands? The wet weather would make her stick hands slippy, and they lack any means of gripping with no fingers. Utterly ridiculous advert, the John Lewis ad team need to think things through more.

To further address some of the very valid points made above: Snowmen don't have money, so did he in fact steal the items? Are John Lewis condoning/encouraging shoplifting for Christmas presents you can't afford? Wouldn't he have also melted quite a bit in the shop while stealing the goods?
But in all seriousness, I liked the advert, but not to the point of extreme gheyness that I nearly cried. Cheers, Rich

Blame Sam 'Skyfall' Mendes. He directed it.
