Car vs Bike - Chris Harris races GT2 RS against Ducati 1198 - Place your bets here!

Tree Trunks, I'm all jacked up because of you. Look at my jacked up face!

I did the same thing back in 2001 against an R1 - the Cossie won overall, but as per Chris's video, it was only by the end of the runway that it clawed it back.

For safety reasons, we did each run separately, other than for the photography:

This was done using Datron timing gear though, rather than "speedos" ;).

Nordschleife - there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right!

Any idea as to the Cossie specs at the time?

I'd have thought so - it's Mike's

I reckon it had 818 BHP ;)

How about not having a sig at all?

I think both would be complimentary in a garage.

It was fun - even with 235 tyres on the back, it would leave black lines accelerating from 45mph to 85mph in the dry .

The Escort with 4wd is a bit too civilised and will only break traction in a straight line in the wet :(.

Bikes will always lose out when the speeds get high, against a properly powerful car, its basic maths. Means nothing but that doesn't stop the internerds arguing forever of course

Sounds like a fun day. I've always been a Cossie fan, especially Monnstone Blue RS5008) Lovely stuff

It's the 0.4bhp that makes all the difference.

It was just to show people that it wasn't a guessed at figure, but one derived from having it engine dynoed, backed up by a dyno sheet with the precise figures ;):
