what car did you / do you secretly lust after? For me it was always this Lancia thema 8.32 which was a close run thing with the Vauxall Lotus Carlton. 40 grand when it was launched for 215 bhp - the output of a warmish hatch today.

A chap I knew ( a very nice chap as it happens ) had one of these with the complimentary lots of rust. Went well in a straight line. If you looked closely enough you could see hte road through the rust induced hole ..

Always liked the 8.32, especially the spoiler  In real life, a thema turbo with a chip was quicker and handled better.
