ROYAL FAIL
Previous | 1 | Next

Anybody been having any trouble with them of late? Age old question, I know, but I think they've been having a go at my mail at the sorting office. Contents within packaging gone missing or nothing been received at my end after somebody posting it out...

I am begining to fear for my watch:(

You're a big man, but you're in bad shape. With me it's a full time job. Now behave yourself.

Packets arriving with nothing in? Have they been opened and resealed? Delivered in a damage bag?

Packets being opened, resealed, but with something missing has been one issue...

Definitely report it then. Chances are its your postman...

Will do, or maybe at the sorting office...

I thought this was going to be about Prince William tripping over !

Ring them up. If you still have the packages and receipts they'll want those too. If not just have a good whine. Don't be surprised if a new postman turns up ;)

I'm proud of you.

Add Fedex to this thread.

Package attempted delivery on Tues - no one in. Fair enough.

Go to Website and enter all details - system down. Website and card left have different telephone numbers and opening times for local depot. Send an email - get Out of Office reply with another address to try. Send another email to new address - no response.

Weds - Leave card out incase - nothing delivered.

Thurs - Ring them up - they're trying to deliver today but didn't tell me. I have card here so I can ring them. They won't leave parcel without the signed card.

This is harder than it should be......

Unfortunately the postman is just the tip of a long line of people who move the mail. So in theory it could be tampered with anywhere from 1st posting to delivery.

I f you have any concerns at all then log all details involved and report everything thats happened. If Royal Mail dont know about it, how can they try & fix it?

It always amazes me in the differing standards of Royal mail workers around the country. I think that if you're in a city / built up area then you're basically ***k*d but the more rural people seem to get a better deal.

Alas its all down to money nowadays and not quality of service IMO. If Royal Mail can employ somebody who'll work all the hours in the day for nothing ( and with total disregard for quality) they will.

Yodel - one shot delivery - you can book another one online but obviously not when you are at home, chances are you'll be a normal person and be at work between 7am and 6pm.

The Royal Mail are closing our local sorting office, so the Saturday morning (their hours are 7 till 9am!) walk to pick up a package is now a drive.

Thursday night the web site worked - yey! Arranged for pick up on Monday, planning on leaving the card out before I go to work.

Get home on Sunday to find they've already left the parcel around the back of the house and without me leaving a card, which they said they couldn't do.

I'd expect this sort of crap from Yodel but not from Fed-Ex. A (almost) complete shambles, but I least I got the parcel.

Last thing I sent first class took five days to arrive...
