Entirely pointless

Thanks you guys, too kind! Maybe Mick or JL will be along soon to restore balance.;)

Why Exige over Elise? TBH once I started looking it had to be an Exige. I know they are basically the same car, but there's just something special about the Exige to me. Looks that little bit more aggressive, is a bit more hardcore and certainly the S is a fair bit quicker. I did briefly toy with the idea of an SC, but they are more or less the same price as an earlier Exige, probably have more depreciation in them, and are not quite as special (IMVHO of course).

I do prefer the look of the Exige, of that there is no doubt.

Mik - I think the Touring pack is carpets, cup holders, electric windows and few other bits.

Great car in best colour, only weakness is the selector fork if tracking it etc :)

And they Need a fruity exhaust :D

Fantastic 8) and love the hue. 8) Congrats and well done etc etc.

Initial drive report please. :D And because we are all nosey b4stards - how much :?:

edit: so what does the Touring pack consist of then?

Touring pack is mainly the sound insulation, radio with ipod connection, and different seats AFAIK.

£22.5k which is a good price considering the condition, at the turn of the year I might have paid a bit less, but there's massive demand from Europe at the moment (Will Blackham has sold six abroad already this year and I narrowly missed out on another that went to France. I'm sure Nathan would have paid less though.;)

When are you taking it to THE CANYONS?

A big thanks to Flewy by the way who I got to help me look (for a small fee of course). This was the second one we looked at, when spending that kind of money the peace of mind was essential, and I just don't have the knowledge to feel comfortable flying solo. I could have paid a local specialist to do an inspection but prefer someone who I've met and feel I can trust. That was confirmed by the amount he found wrong with the first one we looked at (amazingly sold straight away anyway!).

They hold their value well, the ones I looked at last year were about that price. Any plans to track it?

Top of my list is a training / handling day or two, not sure it will see much track this year, but next year I could se myself going to a couple.

I'm buying a spare set of wheels which have a virtually new set of A048 mediums on them from the seller (obvs couldn't fit them in today) so it would be rude not to wouldn't it!?

...it currently has T1-Rs on the standard wheels BTW.

I have no idea how competetive that is, but its not a huge amount of money for something so exotic (by my definition). I hope it gets lots of attention (of the good variety) and provides many years of lovely tactility. 8

(PS - you missed my question on how it drives :) )

No I didn't!:P

Romantic BDSM

Would you raise a hand to Evana? She'd kick your ass. Then insert stiletto heels up it.

That is absolutely awesome and in the perfect colour!! It's exactly what I would trade my Elise up for. I love it, well done!
And I can't wait to hear your driving experiences, since I'm always looking for reasons to keep my Elise ;)

In other words, everything the Exige is not about.

(although I gather electric windows make the car lighter than the keep fit winders)

Not many about, thought maintenance costs would be higher, probably out of budget these days, and I actually prefer the looks of the S2. I know it's not as light and pure as the S1, but it suits my lifestyle.:)
