That plunger thing at the back that you can see from 0 to 5 secs. If you need to know anything else, just ask OC.

Very cool. I've heard of Boston Dynamics before, I think it was them who made this odd looking robot, that sort of learnt how to walk across rough, damaged and uneven terrain

Yup. Expect to see that thing delivering ordnance in a theatre of conflict near you soon - it sure as hell hasn't been made to impress people on Youtube...

I can't really understand why I want something so pointless.... but i do! I'd get it stuck on the roof in the first 5 minutes, then probably leave it there decaying in the gutters!

What for?
Would be nice if it could go faster than walking speed?

It's ability to move on the ground was probably a secondary consideration to it's ability to launch itself - accurately - 30 ft in the air. Also, am I the only person who is liking Boston Dynamics' animal-based names? Big dog,
Cheetah,
Flea,
Little Dog and their bipedal (human-esque) walking platform is called.... PET man. Truly, tis the RISE OF THE MACHINES and we are all doomed to be the keepsakes and trinkets of our ROBOT OVERLORDS.
