I hope he does get a Honda NSX, because they are quite rare and it would be nice to see one again.

Oh FFS not a 911. The worst aspect of the last few months has been the sheepish editorial in the latest issue. Richard Meaden now being the Porsche tester for EVO, Octane, Telegraph, Auto express, GT purely Pork and anything else it is quite refreshing to get other perspectives if you can find them.
It is like a Ryan Giggs relationship counselling session at EVO.

Would you rather the journalist lied to you?

Nick stated his requirements were: “Fast, unique, rare, dynamically challenging and spectacular to look at”. My Suggestions:
1. BMW Z3 M Coupe
2. Exige S1
3. Noble M12 GTO
4. Megane R26 R
5. TVR T350
6. VXR8

Wasn't there a suggestion a few issues ago that Nick would like an old 911 Turbo (i.e. 930)? High degree of bravery needed (both to drive and maintain) but I guess it can't be any worse than the Clio V6 in those respects? Jonathan

Why would you need to maintain and drive a Clio V6

Some good suggestions here: 1. BMW Z3 M Coupe
2. Exige S1
3. Noble M12 GTO
4. Megane R26 R
5. TVR T350
6. VXR8 I'd add to that list: 911 3.2 Carrera (modified track car)
Honda NSX
Alfa SZ
Exige S2 S
Caterham R300 Not sure I get the point about 'sheepish editorial' and how this relates to my next car purchase though...

Haven't you thought about the possibility that his new vehicle may not have four wheels? If so, the suggestions might be: 1. Rocket-propelled Robin Reliant
2. V8 Peel P50

How about a massively self indulgent article about driving them all back to back to see which one you like the most? I'll selflessly offer to help drive them all for a conflicting opinion.

Selling the Clio V6 due to lower back pain and buying a track car instead - can't see the hypocrisy there. You could buy a Range Rover and tell everyone to kiss your arse or in your case further up around your sciatic nerve.
Alot of people like Harry and his writing style, now his videos because he is honest. Maybe you wrote the editorial in the hopes that it would say "yes we hear what you are saying that you think we are biased towards Porsche, but the love affair is over" mainly because you know that in the coming months Porsche will bring out a drip feed of models.

Sisu - you have mail. Back on topic - I've always hankered after an SZ, I'm just not sure if I could afford to fix it if things went wrong. 911 is appealing because I like to idea of turning it into a modified track car with a retro vibe. Exige and Caterham for raw driving thrills, and the NSX? Seems to represent everything modern manufacturers are trying to do with their cars (lower capacity engines, lightweight structures etc.). Decisions, decisions! Perhaps this should go to a vote and evo community members can spend the money for me? Er, on the other hand...

GTA V6 Turbo/A610
944 Turbo
TVR Tamora (not as good looking as a T350 but cheaper) and yes I am just naming cars that are financially ruinous

Nick, I couldn't agree more (see avatar) The Clio V6 always reminded me of a mini NSX. Given the requirement to be "dynamically challenging" I'm not sure the NSX would measure up. While they are prone to roll oversteer and can spin very quickly when you get them too far out of shape, they're nothing like as snappy as the Clio or a Carrera 3.2 There's a fair price spread on your list so I'd add a Z4M Coupe at the higher end as it's a much better car than it's forebear.

You'd end up with a BMW 3-series, so definitely don't do this
