Dan Webster "Your car actually sounded quite good from up there"

Disappointment from every angle.

1. Looks - Fugly. The last Civic was futuristic and very cool IMO. One major reason I bought one. The new rear looks too high and fussy. The front reminds me of a badger.

2. Price 26.5K

3. Interior. Current generation is actually quite a nice place to be for a Japanese hatch. But, plastics rattle like hell which gets on my nerves after a while. Also, the split dash/speedo was/is still not a good idea. If you are quite short like I am, then the steering wheel actually blocks the digital speedo readout. Only solution is to rack up the seating position but then you sit far too high up where the steering wheel is actually at your knees .

4. Ride quality. Think I'll reserve my judgement when someone tests the new Civic on proper British roads. Those Spanish test routes are silky smooth so to say that the ride is better is a bit meh. And FFS, still no independent rear suspension?

Guess I won't be changing next year :D
