O/T: REPLICA WATCHES. BEST SITE ?
Previous | 12345 | Next

I know there's lots of watch fans on here, real and replica.. anyone got recommendations for a good replica site ?

Missus wants one for Xmas.

Buy her a real one you bloody skinflint

Refusing to pay £30k on a watch, does not make me a skinflint.

Well, it might to her, but she's spoilt.

Here's a website Swissreplica

Why buy a replica? Well at these prices you can buy a watch for a quarter the price of a service of a real one. It's a bit of fun. I was given a Porsche replica 25 years ago, still works, new batteries now last over five years. A well known brand of swiss watch I own has given nothing but bills bills grief and terrible time keeping.

Interesting Skaterigg.

I'm not a "watchey" but I quite like the idea of

fake - for $115

vs

Real- for $3100

Out of interest I added a couple to the basket, but the payment page doesn't appear to be secure (?)

If it had been anyone else on here posting this, I would have completely understood, but DB, you should be ashamed of yourself.
£30k is a mere bagatelle to you and a fraction of the money you've made from car deals alone if we are to believe the transactions you've posted on here!
Besides, if it retails at £30k, surely your Jedi mind tricks should be able to pick one up for £15k? You could then buy two and sell the second one for a profit!

I just bought one of these for well under half the UK price from a US ebay seller:

I had a good look at some replicas when I was in China and unless it is a very popular model that they know they are going to sell a lot of, which basically means Rolex, then they're not going to fool anyone who knows what the real one looks like, and I wouldn't want to be at the party where some knowledgeable WAG asks your missus "ooh where did you get that fake?"... ;)

Mik, you need to be careful of replica sites using pictures of the real thing and not actual pictures of their product.

Agreed (although the fake pic does look different - see how the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock buttons seat for example.

Don't get me wrong - I think replica watches are genearlly GAF, but then again - I think spending several £ks on a piece of jewellery that happens to have bits that spin round (you know I'm right guys) ;) is pretty GAF too. :D

That's how they look though Mik, I don't really follow ? The fake one is taken at a different angle, that's all.

edit - OK I see what you mean now.........

is it a reliable site? have you already bought something from them?

prices are good, not the best: a collegue of mine used to travel to Beijin once a year to buy such items for Christmas gifts: premium items (not recognisable from the real thing at 1 meter) had a 20 eur tag!

1. You must go to some real fun parties.
2. Knowledgeable WAG ? Surely a contradiction in terms.

I don't think my missus would care if people knew it was a fake. It's the blinginess she likes. In fact I think she'd get a kick out of saying it only cost a few quid, rather than the huge sums idiots pay for the real thing.

So, apart from the link posted, no other sites guys ?

One of the guys at the hospital is into his fake watches, I'll try to track him down through the week for you and let you know what he recommends.
Or tell her to wait and I'll sort you out with some cheap tat from the far east. :D

My old gaffer bought a couple of really good Omega replicas - i'll find out where from and let you know.

Done.

When I was looking into getting a fake gold rolex submariner the repgeek forum had all the info needed, http://www.trustywatchguy.com/ was recommended by the guys on there but it's american, on the repgeek forum there are traders based in England if you don't want to worry about customs. In the end I went for an Invicta copy, was cheaper and I feel more comfortable wearing it.

A £19 Panerai Luminor Power Reserve fake that I may or may not have picked up in a market in Thailand fooled a colleague who obviously liked the brand and commented on it.

It's now stopped working though, after I didn't wear it for a few weeks - no longer holding charge after you shake it. Maybe I just need to wear it on a long run or something so it reaches a critical level to keep going overnight before putting it on again the next day.

A £19 Panerai Luminor ...

I was after a second hand real one 6 months ago, when I actually viewed it I couldn't go through with it.

Certainly didn't feel like £2k

Some auto movements need the crown wound to kick them off, give that a shot and wear it for a bit.

Try the watch forum on boatshoes. If you trawl through the various threads there was one a while back on replica watches which linked to a few websites selling decent fakes.

Look at this one JoyReplicas

I think it is one of the most reliable and affordable shop in the replica industry.

Go to the RWG forum, plenty of reliable sellers, there are some exact replicas with custom mods (date wheel, AR glass) there are almost indistinguishable from the original.
