Marv - your comparison is slightly unfair ~ v12 E-types (like the coupe image you've posted) all looked "heavy" to me. The earlier cars were nicer from the rear - rear lights above the bumper look better for example.

Isn't the black one a 2+2 as well?

audi a4, ok so even in droptop form it's no beauty but it's one of very few 4 doors that looks good with a pram roof. Looks modern, taught and well proportioned where the saloon and estate just look bland.

Furry muff. As you also prefer Cup2's to Cup1's I should not be surprised.

Not quite as black and white as that Mik - I think that Cup2's suit certain shades on the 968, whereas the Cup1's suit others. IMO the Cup2's suit the metalic shades and Cup1's suit the solid colours. Cup2's would not work on a 964 and Cup1's would not work on a 993.

BMW 1-series is vastly better looking as a convertible than a coupe. I prefer the old-shape Volvo C70 convertible to the coupe, too. Oh, and the W124 Merc E-class convertible absolutely shits on the coupe, saloon and estate for being effortlessly good looking.

Reversing the cabs based on tin topped thing - the Z3M Coupe looks far better than the Z3M Roadster IMO. Anyone disagree?

So wrong! That weird sticky up bit on the conv looks very strange! Though that picture does answer the question of whether my allegedly "standard" R19 was lowered!
I think there was a 40mm or so drop involved!

Late 90's alfa spider vs gtv.
Or are we pretending they are 2 totally different cars?

Hold up a mo, that's a late mk1 Elan Sprint, the +2 had a restyle and was a coupe only. So you're saying that the Elan convertible is better looking than a different Lotus with a similar name!
