ANDROID - RELIABLE PHONES
Previous | 12345678910 | Next

OK I am an Android man and wont have an iphone just because.

My 10 month old LG G4 has died - like wont work at all. Just as sudden as a heart attack with no warning. I will not have another LG phone again.

What are you using and how reliable has it been?

My M8 is a bit laggy but at least it is still going.

Also had an M8, that thing was built to last. Got too slow for me in the end but as an object it's bulletproof.

Got an S7 to replace it - works great, made of sh1t. Cracked the glass back in the first week, the glass front the week after and it's basically being held together by the cover.

If I had had the patience, I reckon a blank and reinstall of my M8 would have been a good option - sadly I'm not patient in any way.

One+ ?

My mate swears by his

JL - not tempted by M10? Are they as bad as the reviews suggest?

N - my encounter with a wileyfox put me off budget phones but looking at this LG disaster it seems they are all a bit budget these days.

My N5 is still going fine as nic uses it.

OnePlus aren't budget - £330 for the latest model.

I don't think the M10 was out at that point mate, and tbh I do like Samsung products. If the S7 wasn't so fragile it'd be the perfect phone - if you don't mind having a cover on it I'd say go for it.

Guess 330 isnt a lot of money for a phone these days really.

I've never had a galaxy and suppose I can install google now over touchwiz?

S5. Not a gay trinket and bomb proof.

Still using mine, a touch slower than it was from new but that's greedy apps not the phones fault.

Looked at Samsungs but refuse to pay iPhone money while the N5 soldiers on :?

Nexus devices all seem to last, family is on its 5th. Current 5x is about a year old and has been dropped, ridden over and soaked a couple of times with no problems.

ETA - One + One was cracking but died after a pint was kicked over it, I wouldn't buy another as I couldn't get any sense out the warranty dept on whether it was covered and gave up and bought another Nexus.

I am currently considering a Xiaomi Mi5s Plus. 6gb RAM and 128GB storage and using new Snapdragon 821 processor but screen has lower ppi than my Galaxy Note 4 which is the only thing putting me off.

Not getting another Samsung as I'm fed up of the bloatware and the sh1t it keeps installing that I don't want.

LG G3, just passed 2 years old. Fine.

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on.

IaFG Supercharged Muppet Division

I've got the Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 (obviously locked to the network, but I work for them, so company discounts, etc.). Was £309 when I bought it. I Was thinking of getting the OnePlus three. But timings didn't allow that (HTC M8 gave up two days before going away on holiday).

I'm honestly very impressed. There is minimal bloatware, it is responsive and with only the odd stutter. Not as fast as my work S7, but for half the price (and with a bigger screen) I can't fault it.

Driving a Galaxy far, far away

Sony Xperia Z5 or X Premium if you need a large screen, or the Compact if you don't.

I was going to suggest my Smart Ultra 6 for similar reasons. £89 now. Not the best camera in the world, and starting to slow down a little after 6-9 months, but otherwise it's great for 4G browsing and stuff. Even making the occasional call.

Because V8

I don't mind paying for something that won't mess my life up like this piece of turd. Cant even get into it to wipe the data before sending back. No soft or hard reset just kept on looping back to Life's Good graphic which is a f*cking joke.

I've not had a samsung, the S7s look nice.

Is anything new coming out soon I don't know about? Google Pixel?

Get a case for the S7 and you're good to go. They really are superb phones.

Try it in the freezer, seriously. Mine was obviously broken but If I changed the screen to always on and used it while in the freezer I could at least get my media off and clear it. Put it in for an hour or so first so it's really cold

I've got a G4, I like it, I hope it doesn't die... but then I'd imagine I look at far less specialist hideous grot than Broccers, so it should last longer.;)

Now stop trolling me you hat-wearing thundermut.

Its been sent back with a remote wipe instruction should anyone manage to get it to connect to the internet (theres a screen pin so unlikely plus it just doesnt work).

Had been good upto its instant death.

New Pixels are 600+ quid and not out till thurs with few reviews so I am not risking that gamble.

Anyone tried a 6p?
